The policies below are applicable to www.dobetterdeals.com, www.negotiationsseminar.com, www.caucusnet.com, www.icncornerstore.com and all affiliate, group and forum sites hosted by ICN. By using our sites, you are agreeing to these terms. ICN takes your privacy very seriously. We limit access to your personal information to employees who we believe reasonably need such access in order to provide products or services to you or do their jobs.
Data transmission over the Internet is not guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, ICN cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us or received from our online products or services. After we receive a transmission, we make our best effort to ensure it is secure on our systems.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a Web server. Only the server that sent it to you can read it. It functions as your identification card, recording your passwords, purchases and preferences. However, it cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.
When registering to use a “Members Only” feature, it is solely your responsibility to keep your private account information, such as username and password, secure. You must not disclose your private account information to anyone except other authorized persons.
ICN uses cookies to verify that you are a current Caucus member when you go to pages in the CaucusNet Members Only area. When you access a page in this area, you are asked for your Caucus user name and password. Once you have submitted this information during your session, you do not have to resubmit it until you log off the Internet and return to a page in a Members Only area of the Caucus site. When you return to the Member Resources area, the login information is already entered; you need only click the login button, without re-keying information.
Registration/Order Forms
When you engage in activities on a site, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. Depending upon the activity, some information you are asked to provide is identified as required, other as voluntary. If you do not provide the required data, you will not gain access.
The online registration forms are Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted documents. SSL encryption creates a secure, coded link between your browser and our server, rendering the information you enter indecipherable to unintended viewers.
ICN employs other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. These functions include order fulfillment, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, and processing credit card payments. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes.
Sometimes, ICN sells portions of its postal mail and email lists to selected third parties. In these instances, the only personally identifiable customer information which generally is shared is the customer’s name and contact information.
Occasionally, areas on our Web sites will offer you an opportunity to participate in various interactive online activities, i.e., networking directories, discussion forums, live chats and so on, for which you may or may not provide content submissions. ICN will request information from you if you opt to participate in these activities.
In Caucus’s listserves, we do collect dialogue. Dialogue in scheduled discussions or listserves may be archived for later viewing by site visitors. These exchanges may be edited for obvious grammatical errors or personal or inappropriate discussions. Otherwise, we do not edit or monitor the dialog provided through discussion or participation in the listserves. If you include contact information any discussion forum or listserve, others may contact you via email or other means.
